Allianz UK has announced a new partnership with Evoque Group to integrate sustainability more deeply into its claims process.
Evoque, a supplier of zero-to-landfill solutions focusing on salvage resale and recycling, will initially support Allianz’s commercial property claims team by identifying items that can be salvaged, repurposed or disposed of in an environmentally responsible way.
In 2024 Evoque diverted 3.3 million kg of waste from landfill, equating to an estimated 7,500 tonnes of CO₂ avoided, and aims to increase that to 6 million kg in 2025 through partnerships such as this one.
The collaboration is designed not only to resolve claims promptly but also to reassure customers that environmental standards have been considered. Allianz said salvage value, after costs and fees, will be credited back to the claim, reducing overall claim costs.
Matt Cox, chief claims officer at Allianz UK, said: “Allianz puts a great emphasis on working sustainably and I’m excited that we can add our partnership with Evoque to the work we’ve been doing across claims as part of our sustainability focus. Property salvage strategies are not consistent across the industry, so this is an opportunity for us to lead the way and enable our customers to act more sustainably too.
"While we are currently launching the partnership in commercial property, we are hoping that we can extend to other parts of claims in the future.”
