Daisy reveals ambitious HP upgrade

An ambitious £3.5m hardware upgrade is being rolled out to business continuity customers of converged IT and communications provider Daisy Group. The major investment will equip all of its 13 nationwide work area recovery sites with 6,000 latest desktop computers from global hardware provider Hewlett Packard.

The sites will benefit from the latest HP EliteDesk 800 G2 mini Business PC and i7-6700 ‘Skylake’ Chipset. These latest upgrades will give end users access to their own tools and systems via the most advanced hardware available.

Daisy’s head of business continuity operations Les Price said: “The level and quality of service that we are able to provide to our customers in their time of need is of the utmost importance to us. This is a major investment initiative which demonstrates to our customers a commitment to the continual enhancement of what we do and how we do it. It also signals our intention to continue to lead in the marketplace and to always strive to be the best.”

This latest hardware upgrade sees Daisy enter its seventh consecutive year of maintaining the same desktop computing provision across its entire estate of recovery centres.

“It is extremely important for us to be able to offer our customers a standard, uniform and reliable experience, regardless of where they or their staff may be based throughout the UK,” added Price. “Partnering with HP to roll out the same capable and robust hardware to every one of our sites ensures our customers are provided with the best possible back up and support, when they need it most.”
