McGill appoints Cousar to build out APAC offering

McGill and Partners has announced the appointment of David Cousar as partner in its facultative reinsurance team. Mr Cousar’s appointment is part of the broker’s entrance into the APAC market.

Mr Cousar has over 20 years’ experience in the facultative reinsurance sector and joins McGill and Partners from Aon Benfield in Singapore, where he was head of asia facultative and oversaw all lines of business in the region.

Prior to this, he held a number of senior roles at RKH Reinsurance Brokers, Gallagher and played an instrumental role in the inception of Lockton’s international property facultative team and the establishment of Willis Re Fac.

In his new role at McGill and Partners, Mr Cousar will be based in Sydney, Australia, working closely with head of facultative reinsurance, Paul Summers.
