Dual secures £320m international title binder

Dual has secured a new international binder for its title and legal indemnity business, increasing available policy limits to £320m for a single real estate risk and extending geographical coverage across the UK, Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

The binder is led by Axa XL, with Liberty, Chaucer, Axis and Intact also providing capacity. It supports a range of real estate and mergers and acquisitions transactions through multi-line insurance solutions.

Dual’s title and legal indemnity business has more than 13 years of trading history and forms part of its wider transactional risk offering. Dave Persaud, who joined Dual in October 2025, became international head of title and legal indemnity in January 2026, with responsibility for the UK, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Title and legal indemnity insurance protects buyers, lenders and investors against financial losses arising from defects in legal title, ownership disputes and other legal risks affecting property or assets.

Richard Clapham, CEO, Dual Group, said: “Our ambition is to be the leading title and legal indemnity business, and the launch of this international binder is an endorsement of that vision. It strengthens our position in the market and demonstrates the confidence our carrier partners place in our expertise, whilst also enhancing our offering through higher policy limits and broader geographic coverage.”

Dual Group is an international underwriting agency with £2.6bn in gross written premium.
