Allianz UK has enhanced its Commercial Select manufacturing proposition for businesses with annual turnover of £10m to £1.5bn, increasing cover limits and extending protection against production disruption, supply chain issues and workplace injuries.
Insureds can also access engineering inspections and compliance services covering lifting equipment, power presses and pressure systems, as well as electrical inspections, site compliance audits and assessments under workplace equipment and major accident hazard regulations.
Rob Carslake, head of commercial combined at Allianz UK, said: “Manufacturers are managing significant cost and supply chain pressures while continuing to invest, innovate and grow. When something goes wrong, the impact can quickly extend beyond physical damage to employees, production, customer relationships and future plans.
“We’ve strengthened our proposition around those real operational dependencies, while recognising that recovery is also about people. The addition of psychological treatment following an employee injury brings practical support at a difficult time.
“The cover can be further reinforced by our specialist engineering inspection and compliance services that can help manufacturers identify and manage risks before they lead to costly disruption. It means brokers can bring together insurance protection and practical prevention support in one conversation with their clients.”
The changes follow an update to the insurer’s wholesale and retail proposition and form part of its wider review of mid-market sector cover.
