Lockton has launched a new tool to help real estate owners, landlords and property managers better track and manage operational risks.
The device uses observer technology to securely extract data, which is then displayed on a dashboard, monitoring water leaks, air quality, fire hazards, heating, ventilation and air conditioning faults, as well as PV panel performance.
Asset Connect is designed to support proactive maintenance, potentially lowering insurance claims, improving energy efficiency, and extending the lifespan of key equipment.
The platform can integrate with most modern building systems, and allows users to benchmark systems and monitor risks, supporting more data-driven operational decisions and insurance discussions. All data is secured with encryption and authentication protocols, the broker said.
Commenting on the launch, Mark Rose, partner and head of real estate at Lockton Companies, said: “The launch of Asset Connect reflects our continual investment in innovation to better support our clients. Our team have worked in collaboration with sector specialists and clients to understand what is required to streamline operations and deliver a unique digital platform that supports clients to better understand their buildings and potential risk profile to insurers.”
