FM unveils Intellium datacentre solution

FM has launched FM Intellium, a new solution designed to address the complexities of datacentres, AI, and the power generation required to fuel these new technologies.

AI and other compute-intensive activities are stoking a rapid increase in datacentre development. According to ResearchAndMarkets.com, datacentre construction in North America will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 8.1% through 2030. At the same time, evolving technology and accompanying infrastructure will require an increasing amount of power generation.

“With the continuing migration to cloud computing and expansion of AI, datacentres demand complete operational confidence. FM has the expertise to ensure resilience and prevent losses for even more clients in these crucial sectors,” said Randy Hodge, chief operating officer at FM. “We see a significant opportunity to bring our research, engineering and loss prevention expertise to help clients and the broader industry as these technologies increase and evolve.”

FM has been insuring datacentres for more than 25 years. Today the company protects approximately 1,100 datacentres, representing US$250 billion of insurable value. FM’s engineers now spend around 30,000 hours a year working with some of the world’s leading datacentre providers.
