GILC extends reach to Malta as Mamo TCV joins network

Global Insurance Law Connect has expanded into Malta with the addition of Mamo TCV Advocates to its growing network.

Mamo TCV advises insurers on expanding their primary underwriting operations in Malta, as well as supporting firms leveraging EU passporting rights to grow across Europe. Its client base includes insurance trade associations, agents, brokers and other intermediaries.

The re/insurance law specialist is supported by a team of over 70 professionals, with particular strengths in marine and commercial insurance.

Gillian Davidson, chair of Global Insurance Law Connect, commented: "GILC is experiencing rapid growth, solidifying our position as a truly global resource for clients. With 16 members across Europe alone, we offer seamless legal expertise tailored to the insurance sector. Malta has become an increasingly significant re/insurance hub – particularly post-Brexit – and Mamo TCV’s deep expertise in re/insurance and cross-border business makes them a valuable addition to our network. In particular, their marine insurance knowledge will also enhance our existing marine specialist group.”

Edmond Zammit Laferla, partner at Mamo TCV, added: "By joining GILC, we look forward to sharing knowledge with fellow member firms, strengthening our ability to serve clients across multiple jurisdictions. We have already enjoyed collaborating with GILC firms on Maltese interest accounts and we are excited to deepen these relationships as part of the network."
