MAPFRE Asistencia has partnered with Riskline to incorporate location risk information into its travel insurance underwriting process.
The underwriting team at MAPFRE Asistencia, headquartered in Spain, will use Riskline’s real-time alerts, country and regional risk assessments to better inform their decisions for travel insurance policies. The data covers over 225+ regions and countries around the world and features comprehensive safety and travel health information spanning political and security crises, travel disruptions, major upcoming events and high risk locations.
Emanuele Scansani, director of partnerships and strategic relations at Riskline, said: “Having up-to-date risk information is crucial for travel insurers, especially at this time when real and perceived risk levels aren’t what they used to be. Knowing what’s happening on the ground in destinations around the world lets insurers make more accurate decisions and offers a better experience for customers because policies are smarter and more agile.”
