City of London next target for Extinction Rebellion

Extinction Rebellion has said that the City of London is its next target, adding that it wants the government to “stop all new fossil fuel investment immediately”.

It is now two years since the last action in the City, which caused considerable transport chaos. The next campaign is expected to last for two weeks. The City has been targeted as it is seen as a major source of fossil fuel financing and climate change.

Named by the group as the "Impossible Rebellion", planned actions include site occupations and marches throughout the City.
