Ironshore Environmental policyholders will now have access to IronResponse, the company's new smartphone app, which offers them immediate contact with claims professionals when reporting environmental issues.
The phone app allows for an instant connection with the call centre to identify the account, reaching an Ironshore claims manager in less than five minutes.
IronResponse simplifies the reporting of an incident, spill or other environmental disaster, and offers risk managers access to incident history, assistance with regulatory reporting and communication with Ironshore’s panel of environmental consultants.
The app encourages a fast response and resolution and enables damage mitigation, and the sophisticated geo-location technology can isolate the site with accuracy of between three to five meters.
“Quick response and damage mitigation are synonymous with sound, effective environmental risk management,” said Tom Duggan, chief claims officer, Ironshore Environmental. “Swift event reaction and expert remediation are important to the risk manager’s bottom line, as well as to the insured’s reputational risk.”
Duggan added that “the need to assess and react immediately is particularly crucial when addressing unexpected and sudden incidents and events to lessen the environmental impact.”
The new app is accessible on both Android and Apple smartphones.
