Beazley names head of property

Beazley has appointed Richard Montminy as global head of the company’s property division. Montminy has over three decades of experience in commercial property insurance in senior underwriting and broking roles. He joins the company from Zurich North America where he most recently served as head of property for the US commercial insurance operation.

Before joining Zurich four years ago, he spent 17 years at Marsh USA where he held various insurance broking and practice leader positions in cities there.

Montminy will be responsible for developing Beazley’s global property strategy and will lead property teams based across the US, UK (including Lloyd’s) and Singapore. He will report to chief underwriting officer Adrian Cox and join Beazley’s executive committee.

He succeeds Mark Bernacki who stepped down from the position at the end of April after 13 years at Beazley.
