AFM appoints Tar to EMEA SVP

AFM has appointed Aurelia Tar as regional senior vice-president, EMEA.

Part of the FM Global Group, AFM specialises in commercial property insurance for the middle market, providing tailored underwriting and property loss control engineering through an international network of broker partners.

Tar joined FM Global in 2003 and has served in many roles including underwriting and account management before being appointed as operations vice-president, assistant client service manager for Paris operations. She was then appointed operations vice president, chief underwriting technical specialist for Asia operations in Singapore. Most recently, she was vice-president and area manager for AFM in France.

Tar holds a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Paris Eastand a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from University Babes – Bolyai (Cluj-Napoca, Romania).

She will be based in Paris and will report to Ziad Alex Tadmoury.
