AXIS completes aviation division rebrand

AXIS Capital’s aviation units have been rebranded in the last phase of the 2016 acquisition by AXIS of European specialty aviation insurer and reinsurer, Aviabel and its Dutch brand, NLP (Nederlandse Luchtvaartpool).

The retirement of these two brands completes the alignment of the global aviation business.

Filip Vandeputte, branch manager and office lead for Belgium and The Netherlands, said: “Since the acquisition of Aviabel and NLP we have operated as a cohesive, fully aligned global aviation team. To complete the integration, we will now fully adopt the AXIS brand for Aviabel and NLP. AXIS aviation places high priority on its clients and colleagues, and our commitment to broker and client service is unwavering.”

Terry Wood, global head of aviation at AXIS Insurance, added: “We are excited for this change. We will continue to provide our clients in Europe with the highest-quality local expertise and service. This is an opportunity for our team to demonstrate to clients the global financial strength and reach of our business.”
