RELA appoints CEO

Specialist in energy claims and risk assessment, Renewable Energy Loss Adjusters, has announced the appointment of Alan Tucker as CEO.

Tucker joins from Abaco International Loss Adjusters, where he served as UK managing director for four years, with responsibility for 24 offices worldwide. Over more than two decades, he has built a wide range of experience in loss adjusting for conventional power, construction, engineering, and renewable energy projects – both on- and offshore. Over his career, he has handled claims across Europe, Africa and the Americas.

The company has also hired Martin Dobson, who joins as senior loss adjuster. He also joins from AILA, and has extensive technical expertise having worked in engineering for RWE for eight years.

From its offices on Gracechurch Street, London, RELA provides loss adjusting services, including pre-risk surveys, engineering valuations and loss mitigation to insurers of large-scale renewable energy projects as well as risk advisory services to both insurers and investors. The firm’s services cover all types of renewable energy ranging from solar and on- and offshore wind, to hydro, wave-tidal, bio energy and geothermal projects.
