Allianz Engineering Inspection Services has secured ISO 9001 certification for its engineering inspection business.
The certification follows an assessment by LRQA. ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard covering quality management systems and processes.
The certification comes as AEIS expands its technical and compliance services. Its electrical offering now includes fixed wiring inspections, portable appliance testing, lightning conductor inspections, electric vehicle charger inspections and solar photovoltaic inspections. Support for electrical remedial works is also available.
Martin Ball, director of AEIS at Allianz UK, commented: “Achieving ISO 9001 certification is an important milestone for AEIS and reflects our continued focus on quality, consistency and customer service. For brokers, it provides an additional proof point when recommending Allianz to customers, particularly where recognised supplier standards are an important consideration. Alongside this, we’re continuing to strengthen the support we provide beyond inspection.
"Many businesses need clear guidance on what to do after an inspection, and our expanded electrical offerings are designed to help customers move more efficiently from identifying an issue to addressing it. This is supported by our Engineering Compliance Services area, which brings together internal expertise and strategic partnerships to help customers access more joined-up technical and compliance support.”
The insurer's Engineering Compliance Services operation will also provide access to wider fire and security compliance services, including fire risk assessments, fire alarm systems, passive fire protection and security systems.
