New Coalition security feature targets BEC attacks

Coalition has launched a new security feature designed to help SMEs reduce the risk of business email compromise – the number one driver of cyber insurance claims.

Login Security, which forms part of its Coalition Control cyber risk management platform, is designed to continuously check for suspicious login activity and automatically terminates compromised sessions.

BEC incidents rose by 15% in 2025, according to the insurer.

Tim MalcomVetter, general manager of Coalition Security, said: Small businesses are prime targets for BEC, yet most lack the budget for 24/7 staff. Login Security not only watches for threats, but also stops them by automatically containing suspicious users."

Coalition's new security feature is available to its policyholders globally at no additional cost.
