Celnor expands risk management capabilities

UK-based testing and certification business Celnor Group has acquired Meridian Consult to strengthen its risk management offering.

Meridian Consult, based in Stafford with surveyors across the Midlands, the North West and London, provides building control and regulatory consultancy services across the design, construction and completion stages of building projects. Its work spans the residential, commercial, education and healthcare sectors, covering small developments to high-rise projects.

The acquisition comes as demand for compliance and safety expertise remains elevated in the UK built environment due to overwhelming regulatory change in building safety.

Simon Parrington, chief executive of Celnor Group, said: “Meridian Consult is a highly respected business with an excellent reputation for technical expertise, client service and professionalism. The team has built a strong presence in the building control sector and their services complement our existing risk management division extremely well. We look forward to supporting the business as it continues its growth journey.”
