Marsh Risk adopts AI to tackle complex risk decisions

Marsh Risk has launched an artificial intelligence-driven analytics suite that enables clients to model insurance scenarios in real time, access live captive data and produce board-ready recommendations more quickly.

The risk specialist’s new Risk Companion platform is designed to provide faster, more tailored analysis that takes account of interconnected and volatile risk environments.

Two initial tools will be introduced, with further expansion planned. Renewal Companion allows clients to test retentions, limits, deductibles and coverage options dynamically, and to compare outcomes. Captive Companion offers real-time visibility into captive performance alongside automated reporting and benchmarking analytics to reduce manual work and improve capital efficiency.

“Today’s launch further enables clients to benefit from our vast dataset, models and insights to benefit clients, with plans to expand the range of solutions in phases,” said Jonathan Lee, global leader, Digital Client Experience, Marsh. “This will begin with improved clarity and more immediate visibility into risk, followed by enhanced optimisation and decision support, all designed to work together seamlessly. The underlying AI analytics engine is built to be scalable, allowing us to create and adapt solutions as clients' needs evolve."
