Marsh Risk boosts Nimbus datacentre limits

Marsh Risk has expanded its large-scale datacentre construction insurance facility, Nimbus, with limits increased to up to US$2.7bn. Capacity includes delay in start-up and business interruption cover, and is available for major datacentre construction projects across the UK, US, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The expanded facility provides London Market capacity through a panel of A-rated insurers from the Lloyd’s and company markets

Mike Mathews, global digital infrastructure leader at Marsh, commented: “Demand for more powerful and efficient datacentres is accelerating technological innovation, particularly around AI and machine learning, which will revolutionise the way we live and work and reshape economic landscapes over the next decade."

Nimbus was launched in June 2025, and is currently being deployed in the US, the UK and the Netherlands.
