Satellite data provider ICEYE has agreed a deal with Munich Re’s Risk Management Partners to expand access to its natural catastrophe data. The deal sees ICEYE’s flood solutions integrated into RMP’s Location Risk Intelligence platform to help companies assess and manage risks associated with natural hazards and climate change.
The integration aims to strengthen the platform’s real-time flood risk analysis and reporting capabilities before, during, and after events. Access to ICEYE’s data via the risk management platform is intended to help insurers, banks, real estate managers, and corporations worldwide to better assess and quantify flood impact, and support faster, data-driven decision-making.
From January 2026, ICEYE’s flood archive and flood early warning solutions will be available via the events feature of Location Risk Intelligence. This enables users to monitor historical and ongoing events, using a combination of public domain information and vendor data.
Christof Reinert, head of Risk Management Partners at Munich Re, said: “Natural catastrophes are becoming more frequent and severe. Businesses need scalable solutions to manage these risks before, during, and after disaster events strike. By integrating ICEYE into the platform, we provide even more comprehensive insights into natural risk disaster exposure.
“The flood event data is a substantial feature that can even improve our Location Risk Intelligence offering. This gives our customers a decisive advantage, enabling active risk management to safeguard investments and operations, while also strengthening resilience.”
