Rigby appointed Lloyd's COO

Lloyd’s of London has announced today that Jennifer Rigby is to be appointed chief operations officer. Rigby has been performing the role on an interim basis since March this year, following the departure of former COO Shirine Khoury-Haq. Her remit as Lloyd’s COO includes business transformation, global operations, data, IT, innovation and corporate real estate.

Rigby joined Lloyd’s in May 2017 as CIO with responsibilities that included technology transformation, cyber security and innovation as part of Lloyd’s overall strategy. She began her career at the BBC and held several senior roles in the public sector including the National Archives, Home Office and Department of Energy and Climate Change before moving to Telefónica in 2014.

CEO John Neal said: “I am delighted to confirm the appointment of Jennifer as Lloyd’s chief operations officer. It has been a pleasure to work closely with her since I joined Lloyd’s and I know that her leadership, experience and energy will be pivotal to our success as we look to set ourselves up for The Future at Lloyd’s.”
