Charles Taylor expands marine capabilities

Charles Taylor has expanded its marine capabilities with the integration of Bowditch Marine, Pilot Marine, and the marine surveyors of Charles Taylor Adjusting to form Charles Taylor Marine Technical Services.

The newly integrated team will provide marine and cargo surveying and consulting services to assist vessel owners, reinsurance and insurance underwriters and other maritime interests with a spectrum of pre-voyage and post-damage services.
The new team will address the interests of vessel owners, vessel charterers, hull and machinery underwriters, P&I Clubs, insurance pools, cargo owners and re/insurance underwriters.

Christopher Schaffer, head of Charles Taylor Third Party Administration, said: "The creation of Charles Taylor Marine Technical Services, through bringing together our highly skilled industry professionals, will enable us to centralise technical expertise under one brand, streamline client responsiveness and leverage operational scale."

Charles Taylor purchased Bowditch Marine in 2018 and acquired Pilot Marine earlier this year.
