AIG boosts global specialty team

American International Group has made two senior appointments within its global specialty business: Steve Eccles is now global head of aerospace; and James Langdon, UK head of energy and construction.

Eccles has over 30 years of industry experience, and a broad knowledge of the aviation insurance market. He worked first as an aviation broker before becoming an aviation underwriter at Lloyd’s of London. He joins from Argo where he was chief underwriting officer, international and active underwriter for ArgoGlobal Syndicate 1200. Prior to joining Argo, he was the active underwriter for Travelers Syndicate 5000. He will start his new role in April 2020.

Langdon joins AIG after 16 years at Chubb, where most recently he was global head of upstream energy. He will start his new role in December.
