Honda hit by ransomware attack

A ransomware attack has halted production of some of car maker Honda's factories. The company confirmed today that a cyber attack on its IT infrastructure brought some of its global factories to a standstill and hampered its access to computer servers and email.

Work has been halted at its UK site, as well as other sites in the US, Japan, Turkey and Italy.

At this stage, the company believes that no data has been breached.
