Zurich Financial Services has announced the impending departure of its chief financial officer and regional chairman of Europe, Dieter Wemmer "to pursue new opportunities outside of Zurich".

Martin Senn, chief executive officer of Zurich, said: “Dieter has made invaluable contributions in his many roles both in the business and finance functions. I want to thank him for his engagement and commitment during 25 years of dedicated and loyal service to Zurich.”

Wemmer will continue to serve in both his roles until the announcement of a successor at the end of this year.
