UIB launches special risks division

Reinsurance broker UIB has launched a Special Risks division which will provide bespoke insurance solutions for a range of business classes. Charles O'Sullivan has been hired as managing director and Karen Shelley as operations director.

Special Risks accesses capacity from Lloyd’s and all worldwide insurers and reinsurers. UIB is actively looking to recruit further staff to boost its current team of six.

Predominantly focused on catastrophe-exposed areas including the Caribbean, North, Central and South America and the Pacific region, The new risks division is set up to provide solutions for all classes of business.
