Travelers launches new PI cover

Travelers has announced the launch of a new professional indemnity product offering aimed at the publishing and general media sectors.

The company’s ten media-related products, which cover a range of different media organisations, are underwritten by a single dedicated media team.

Alex Clegg, product manager, media and entertainment at Travelers, said: “The UK is the easiest market for a claimant to bring a libel case, so it is important that all media clients have the security that PI cover affords.

"While PI is not mandatory, the majority of media businesses are aware that it is a necessity, and it may well be a condition of a contractual agreement.”
