High risk of flooding in UK as autumn arrives

Autumn makes its presence felt in the UK with persistent downpours and reports of torrential rain ahead, expected to cause flooding up and down the country later today.

Periods of heavy rain, including some torrential downpours, are likely to occur across east Wales, the West Midlands, West Country and into central southern England.

Businesses should be prepared for an increased risk of both surface water and river flooding.

See the Met Office website for updates on severe weather warnings.
