Markel International has appointed Bhavik Desai as an underwriter in its professional and financial risks division.
Desai joins Markel after seven years at AIG, most recently as an underwriter and team leader within the professional indemnity division.
James Hastings, divisional managing director, commented: “We are delighted that Bhav has joined Markel. We are keen to recruit the best PFR talent in London and Bhav’s appointment very much reflects that. He’ll be very visible to brokers in Lloyd’s, underwriting a broad range of professional indemnity. He will also be working closely with the team to research and develop new products and territories”
