Date set for Hanks departure from Allianz

Allianz Commercial has confirmed that Chris Hanks, after 45 years in the business, will retire from his role as general manager at the end of June 2013. Mr Hanks will be succeeded by Simon McGinn. Currently director, commercial broker markets, Mr McGinn will also join the Allianz UK management board.

His successor as director, commercial broker markets is Andrew Broughton who re-joins the UK company from Allianz Australia. Mr Broughton will be responsible for the operation of the Allianz Commercial branch network and oversee the division’s relationships with brokers. This appointment will also be effective from 1st July, following a handover period. Mr Broughton has worked for the business in a variety of roles between 2000/03.
