Dual has announced today the launch of a new international directors’ & officers’ liability (D&O) programme aimed at foreign companies listed on US securities markets through American depository receipts. The underwriter has partnered with Everest Re to offer this new capacity, and Scott Misson has been named chief underwriter for this business.
Misson has been underwriting and overseeing international D&O portfolios for more than 20 years and has a tremendous record of building extremely profitable books of business with several insurance companies. Before joining Dual, Misson started Navigators Insurance Company’s international management liability unit in 2001 and most recently served as president of Navigators’ global management liability operations.
Misson comments: “I am very excited about this new program and partnership with Everest Re. By combining the financial strength and global brand of Everest with the vast distribution network of the Hyperion Insurance Group with 67 offices in 28 countries, we see an incredible opportunity to differentiate ourselves and profitably penetrate the market.
"Additionally, with our US vantage point and more than 20 years’ experience writing international D&O, we offer capacity providers a unique blend of centrally controlled and disciplined underwriting, based in New York with local distribution around the world.”
Dual has been underwriting D&O on behalf of Everest Re in South and Central America, the Caribbean, and Puerto Rico for almost a decade.
