Finance and insurance industry executives believe that China offers the best growth opportunities in the world over the next two to three years, according to global research from Allen & Overy. The report examines global business confidence, the shifting balance of economic power, plans for future growth and barriers to market entry.

According to the report, a massive 94% of finance and insurance company executives are confident about business prospects in the next 24 months and 83% of finance and insurance company executives believe Asia Pacific’s economic influence is rising.

China (39%), India (31%) and United States (29%) are identified as the best markets for growth opportunities by finance and insurance company executives. The UK (23%) was cited as the best market for growth within Europe

However, there are hurdles to overcome - as China (alongside Russia and the US) was also identified in the top three most difficult market to enter with the regulatory environment being cited as the most common reason why
