Charbonnel appointed COO at Coface

Cyrille Charbonnel has been appointed to the newly created role of group chief operating officer at Coface.

In this role, he will manage the operational functions of the group, alongside Jean-Marc Pillu, chief executive officer, and more specifically the commercial, underwriting, information, claims and collection functions. he retains his responsibilities as group organisation director.

Cyrille Charbonnel, 47, graduated from the ISC business school in Paris, started his career in the Underwriting Department at Euler Hermes SFAC were he was responsible for the metallurgical industry sector. He then joined the commercial department which he ran for four years.

In 2008, he became an executive board member of the Portuguese credit insurer Cosec. In exercising his duties he was entrusted with the responsibility of various missions in the field of organisation relating to the implementation and the roll out of different department tools. He joined Coface in September 2011.
