Axis announces Mexico expansion

Axis has announced plans to expand its operation in Mexico to target domestic growth and international reinsurance business.

Mexico represents one of Axis’s largest operations in the Latin American region and the company plans to target business and revenue growth in areas including state catastrophe work, retail and industrial risks and financial lines by the end of 2012.

This company will be recruiting two senior ex-pat adjusters for its international reinsurance business plus adding further regional expertise to its engineering capabilities.

Commenting on the company’s growth strategy, Norman Mitchell, executive director, of Axis said: “Our commitment continues to the region and our plans remain to expand our presence. We see clear opportunities to offer clients with international reinsurance needs access to a high level of service and expertise. We support these needs locally and also through our London-based adjusters."
