ACE forms small business division in North America

ACE Group is to offer specialty products for small businesses in North America through its new division, ACE Commercial Risk Services.

Dennis Crosby has been appointed chairman, and David Lupica president of the new entity. Mr Crosby is has also been named chief operating officer of Insurance, North America.

"The formation of ACE Commercial Risk Services underscores ACE's commitment to small businesses. We will customise and expand the specialty products and industry expertise that have distinguished ACE in the large and mid-size account markets for the last 25 years," said Mr. Lupica, "Dennis and David will be instrumental in the long-term expansion of ACE's presence in this critical segment."

Based in Atlanta, Mr Crosby will oversee the development and launch of ACE Commercial Risk Services in addition to his current responsibilities as president and chief executive officer, ACE Westchester. With more than 30 years' experience in the insurance industry, Mr Crosby has held several senior leadership roles within ACE since joining the company in 2004.

Also based in Atlanta, David Lupica will lead all strategic operations for the new company including marketing, underwriting and producer management. He will oversee the company's commercial program business as well as the delivery of ACE's wide array of specialty products and services to small businesses through wholesale, retail, Managing General Agent (MGA) and alternative distribution channels. Mr. Lupica joined ACE in 2000 and most recently served as president, ACE Westchester Professional Lines in addition to overseeing ACE Westchester's small business offerings.
